Last fall, we published a piece to help inform Salem Oregon convention goers and visitors about their best transportation options to get in and around town, but something was missing. Convenient ride-share companies like Uber and Lyft were not an option here in Oregon's capitol city...until now! Beginning this month, Salem Oregon area drivers are available to transport you seamlessly to your desired local destination. Check out Kara Campuzano, our Director of Sales and Marketing and Sarah Utterback from our Sales & Catering office take their inaugural Lyft ride! 'As the city continues to grow, the ride-share services will boost the economy by expanding the reach of Salem businesses and the community,' a spokeswoman for the chamber said in this Statesman Journal article. The decision to allow the new transportation options had much support from the local community. If you're in need of a ride, simply download the Lyft or Uber apps on your smartphones, request a ride and a driver should arrive in a relatively short period of time (depending on the time of day). Enter from Liberty Street • Liberty Parkade – Across the Street from SCC 199 Liberty Street SE (on the North side of Ferry St.) Enter from Ferry Street.
