Northwest Meetings + Events magazine is celebrating top performers in the meetings and event industry later this month at the 2nd annual Readers' Choice Best Of Awards in Seattle, Washington. Categories include Best Florist/Event Décor, Best Historic Venue, Best Catering Company, Best Hotel, Best Venue, etc. We are pleased to report that The Salem Convention Center is nominated in the Best Convention Venue in Oregon category along with the Oregon Convention Center and the Portland Hilton! The winners in each category will be announced at the June 20 awards ceremony and also online at nw.meetingsmags.com and will be featured in the Fall 2012 issue. You may recall The Salem Convention Center was featured on the cover of the Northwest Meetings + Events Winter 2012 edition earlier this year. The magazine featured us, along with Salem Riverfront Park, in the story What A Capital Idea where state capitals such as Salem, Boise, Juneau, and Olympia were highlighted as ideal destinations to host a meeting or event. Northwest Meetings + Events is the premier magazine for meetings and events professionals working in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Alaska, and British Columbia. The magazine is published four times a year and circulated to approximately 18,000 planners, suppliers and related professionals.
