Are you 'Mad' for art? If the answer is yes, this is an event for you. The Salem Art Association will present their 13th Annual Clay Ball at The Salem Convention Center February 25, 2012 from 5–10 pm. This event is a dazzling evening of art, wine, food and music to benefit the Salem Art Association's programs. This year's theme is Mad About Art, inspired by the hit TV show Mad Men on AMC. Guests are asked to come dressed to impress in early 1960's attire. Clay Ball is SAA's second largest fundraiser and has become one of the highlights of Salem's social calendar. Last year, nearly 600 attendees enjoyed the event's cocktail reception, elegant sit-down dinner, and silent and live auctions featuring artwork by regional artists. Proceeds from this event help maintain the Salem Art Association's programs that bring tremendous value to our community. Did you know that SAA Sponsors the Salem Art Fair & Festival. Provides art instruction in regional schools (over 11,000 local children served annually) through its School Programs. Provides the area with a High School Intern Program. Provides an Artists' Services Program for regional professional artists. Operates the Bush House Museum and preserves Oregon pioneer culture and history through exhibits. Provides exhibitions and programs in the galleries of the Bush Barn Art Center. Participates in downtown initiatives through Project Space. Provides a “voice at the table” on discussions about art and cultural issues in the city of Salem. These programs need our support. To purchase Clay Ball tickets you can call 503–581-2228 or visit them online. Tickets are $75 per person. Sponsor a table for $1,000 and receive additional benefits. Clay Ball tickets must be purchased by February 19th at 5 pm.
