In a little over a month, the Mid-Willamette Valley community will gather here to celebrate local sustainability at the annual Mid-Valley Green Awards on Saturday, March 1, 2014! The awards, presented by Friends of Straub Environmental Learning Center and Marion County Public Works Environmental Services, recognizes sustainable, earth conscious, responsible companies, organizations and individuals in our community. We are honored to be one of the organizations nominated for the EarthWISE Certified Business of the Year. EarthWISE certified businesses are committed to working toward sustainability and have documented efforts to refine their practices to protect the environment in their community. We are also looking forward to the first ever Trashion Show where local artists will model their fashionable creations made from recycled materials!
