Our experienced conference service staff works closely together to ensure that we exceed expectations for each person who visits our facility; whether it's for a wedding, a gala, a company meeting, or a professional convention. It is this commitment to excellence that sets our staff apart from the rest and we are proud to introduce them to our readers. This month, we are spotlighting our Director of Catering, Theresa Greco, who has contributed her outstanding talents to the Salem Convention Center for more than a decade. As the Director of Catering, Theresa coordinates all details for our events and conventions from food and beverage to audio and visual. Theresa celebrated her 10 year anniversary with us last October. 'The first week I started at SCC we went on a team building adventure where I broke two fingers,' she jokes when asked about what she recalls about those early days. But the experience was worth it. 'Our staff is the best. We have the most experienced crew I have ever worked with. They are such a great team. Our Chef is top notch, he is so creative and easy to work with,' she says. Theresa says her favorite part of the job is seeing a convention from start to finish and hearing from clients about how wonderful their experience was. She says people can expect excellent service and attention to detail from the staff when they engage services at the Salem Convention Center. Theresa moved to Salem from Eugene, Oregon when she was hired as our Director of Catering in 2005. Though you will find her here on the job during all hours of the day and many weekends, she does manage to relax and spend time with friends during her free time. Theresa credits her excellent rapport with our staff and her love of the event planning industry for much of her success and longevity at the Salem Convention Center.
