Salemites & their four legged friends are in for a treat (literally, a doggie treat!) in when the Salem Downtown Partnership hosts First Wednesday 'Dog Days of Summer' on Wednesday, August 1 from 5-8 PM. Start at your favorite participating First Wednesday business and pick up free gourmet dog biscuites baked by Great Harvest Bread Company, a First Wednesday schedule, and a map! Don't miss the “Owner & Dog Lookalike Contest” in the Salem Convention Center courtyard from 5 to 7. Come enjoy music, food, and visit with our participating “Doggy” vendors. Registration starts at 5 and we will hand out prizes for the best “look-a-likes” at 6:30. Make great memories with your four-legged friends! Be sure to cool off at Bentley's Grill: $3 pint draft beer all night long. Choose from Mirror Pond Pale Ale, Widmer Hefeweizen, 10 Barrel ISA, Ninkasi Total Domination IPA, Southern Oregon Brewery Pin-up Porter, or Coors Light.
