A signature cocktail and/or a fun mocktail or a refreshing drink waiting for them when they arrive can be a simple way to make an event feel special. Good food, good drinks, and good company. So, whether you're planning a celebration or just looking for something new to make at home, here are a few recipes to try. We've included both cocktails and non-alcoholic options because there should always be something for everyone. Pear & Rosemary Fizz -This is a great choice for fall and winter events. The pear gives it a little sweetness, while the rosemary and lemon keep it fresh. What you'll need: 1½ oz. vodka or gin 2 oz. pear juice or pear nectar ½ oz. fresh lemon juice ½ oz. rosemary simple syrup Club soda Ice Pear slices and fresh rosemary for garnish How to make it: Fill a glass with ice and add the vodka or gin, pear juice, lemon juice and rosemary syrup. Stir, then top with club soda. Garnish with a pear slice and a sprig of rosemary. Make it a mocktail - Simply leave out the vodka or gin and add a little extra club soda. Cranberry Orange Spritz - Cranberry and orange are an easy combination for holiday parties, brunches or just about any celebration. It's also simple enough to make for a crowd. What you'll need: 2 oz. cranberry juice 1 oz. orange juice 1 oz. vodka 2 oz. sparkling water or sparkling wine Ice Fresh cranberries and an orange slice for garnish How to make it: Add the cranberry juice, orange juice and vodka to a glass filled with ice. Stir and top with sparkling water or sparkling wine. Add a few cranberries and an orange slice for garnish. For a non-alcoholic version: Leave out the vodka and use sparkling water or a non-alcoholic sparkling wine. Not every celebration needs alcohol. This cucumber mint cooler is light, refreshing and easy to make. It would be right at home at a summer wedding, bridal shower, luncheon or corporate event. Cucumber Mint Cooler What you'll need: 3–4 cucumber slices 5–6 fresh mint leaves ½ oz. fresh lime juice ½ oz. simple syrup Sparkling water Ice Cucumber and mint for garnish How to make it - Gently muddle the cucumber and mint together in a glass. Add lime juice, simple syrup and ice. Top with sparkling water, give it a quick stir and garnish with cucumber and mint. Planning an Event in Salem?
